bridging the gap between
hard data and human experience.
stemstories is a multimedia studio dedicated to health communication, digital media, and translating complex scientific narratives into accessible design.
good science deserves great design
Complex findings in health and science are too often lost in translation. stemstories was built on the belief that communication is a critical component of research. By combining public health principles with modern digital strategy, we create media that ensures vital information reaches the people who need it most.

Led by Akhil Tej Kantipuly, stemstories operates at the intersection of media, medicine, and human-centric design. With an MPH in Community Health & Prevention specialized in Digital Media, alongside a foundation in Philosophy, Photography and Architecture from the University of Michigan, the studio approaches every project as both an analytical and creative challenge. Backed by specialized training in Storytelling in Media and Medicine from Harvard Medical School, the work is grounded in empathy and evidence.

visualizing the truth
We don’t just capture images; we use documentary photography as a rigorous form of qualitative research. Whether documenting community health initiatives or architectural environments, our visual approach is purpose-driven, capturing the authentic context behind the data.
